The kindergarteners have been working hard on learning to hear long vowel sounds as well as the short vowel sounds.  This week we will work on the sound for long "i" and then we will review the other long vowels that we have worked on.

The students are working hard to solve addition problems in a variety of ways.  Later this week we will revisit subtraction.

In science we have been learning about pond animals.  So far, we have learned about frogs and ducks.   This week we will be talking about turtles.

In writer's workshop we are writing nonfiction books about pond animals.
